What happens when you take an American girl, give her a Canadian husband, a dual-citizen daughter, two Mexican dogs and a German car? Anything goes when it's A Very Good Year!

I recently weaned my son since going back to work seemed to drain my milk supply even with pumping and I have found that I really miss that special connection breastfeeding provides. I especially miss the just before bedtime feeding when he would fall asleep with his little arm flung over my breast.

I love the little sounds. The tiny grunts and swallows. The little happy hum she does when the milk lets down.

When they're brand new, I love the head bobbing around wildly searching for the milk. Rooting may be the most precious thing in the world.

Beautiful.

I love how breastfeeding is so comforting to my child. When she's upset I can almost always calm her with a breast.

I love everything you mentioned!
I also love that it solves any problem -- tired, cranky, just bumped her head? Nursing makes for a happy, happy girl.

Granted it's been a good long while since I have breastfed, but my favorite thing was being up with her in the middle of the night, in her dark room, rocking and it was like it was just the two of us in the world. I was all she needed at that moment.

Oh, and I loved it when she'd reach up and rest her little hand on my breast.

I miss it. I want another baby now.
