Congratulations btw! You’re almost done!:-D I on the other hand have a LONG journey (I’m 10 weeks) ahead of me…ugh. There is nothing fun about being pregnant while already having one – so good thinking re: birth control. Good luck to you!

I’ll be interested to see what you decide. I have considered Mirena as well (mostly because I have problems with most estrogen birth controls and can’t, for the life of me, remember to take a pill).

Life is good, even when things are tough, we have it so much better than so many others.

So…you’re on the East Coast??? Where abouts (if you want to tell me)? I am too.

Your midwife will tell you that all of the things I’ve posted on my site (if you mention them) are all things that “can happen” and that everyone is different and blah, blah, blah. I spoke with several midwives about it and they all glossed past the possible side effects.

But it’s true. The side effects are different for each person and I think it’s just harder to find people talking about what goes right with the Mirena. I know three women who’ve had nothing but a great experience with it. And while I’ve noted all of the things I’ve gone through (most of which SUCKED) it’s only been 1.5 months and it’s gotten progressively better. And I plan to wait it out. And will post the positives once I have them!

I think that if I had taken the time to research before-hand (as you are) it wouldn’t have been so bad because I would have known, or at least had an idea, of what to expect.

PS: there is no little dangling string. I mean, it’s in there, but it’s super deep inside so you you can’t see it and from what I’ve been told, you (rather, he) won’t feel it.
