I spent the first two months on the couch with the baby in her vibrating seat next to me and now, she sleeps in her crib, on her own, wonderfully. I agree, though, to start off in the bassinet and then if she wakes up to take her in with you. Eventually, she will have to sleep by herself, but my goodness, the girl's only 6 weeks old! I think my Hubby would have done the same thing... but he was never given the chance as I stayed in the nursery with Dottie until she was sleeping through the night... just totally cut him out of the equation... sometimes she slept with me, sometimes in her crib... I did whatever produced the most sleep for me... Oh, no….
