@Ms Core: Sometimes I feel like I am going to die if she doesn’t hurry and grow up more already… then sometimes I look at her and think “please stay this way forever”. It’s crazy! Really, the ONE thing I would love is for her to sleep 5-6 hours in a row at night regularly.

Too funny! And true! I love the part about sticking feet into your belly button, it’s so on the money! I have little nicks and scratches all around my belly button from dagger toenails digging in. I dunno about you but I am ready for the first 6 mos to be over even though I know I will regret saying that when we get there.

@Natasha: I dunno, I think I can get up early ONE morning just to do this. And I’d totally rig a hidden camera somewhere to record it all.

@existere: You know what’s awesome? You read everything I post here and you’ll STILL be totally blown away by how fucked up motherhood is. I worship the ground that mothers of multiples walk on.

@Katie: Remember, when I’m up there, if there’s anytime you want to, you know, lend a hand first thing in the morning & play with your niece for an hour while I sleep in a bit, it’s cool. Just sayin’.

I have bookmarked this idea in the depths of my memory and set an internal alarm to go off in 11 years so that when my older son is 14 I can do this to him. I will then hit snooze on that alarm (which will last for 2-3 more years) and repeat the scenario for my younger son.

I seriously think this is the most delicious and droll idea EVER. I am giggling with anticipation!

OMG that is too funny. But, what you fail to realize is that a teenager can sleep through a jackhammer in the same room with them. Therefore, she will practice cry it out w/you, which will cause you to fall into an exhausted sleep. Later, she will step on you as she gets out of bed, heading for the kitchen for some cereal. And..she won’t even notice it was you she stepped on..she will assume it is just laundry.
