In just the past few days, Maia’s become a little more socially interactive. Not that she’s ever been uninterested, but now she really wants to be talked with, and she likes to talk back. She’s stringing together syllables and does these sort of… multi-syllabic hollers? Like she’s not just crying, but sounding like she is actually trying to communicate via these whine-yells, which is pretty hilarious. And I swear that yesterday she LAUGHED while I was playing with her, but Chris was listening to something on his computer really loudly so he couldn’t hear and confirm. Still, she did it twice, and it was so yummy that I kissed her about seventeen times and tried to make her do it again.
She’s also taken to sucking on her fist for a few minutes before she goes to sleep or wakes up. It’s adorable to hear over the baby monitor, and it’s a good signal for me to get in there and be ready to nurse her. In fact, I can hear her now, so it’s likely that I should get going!

I am already getting all excited about next month’s header… downloaded oodles of new Photoshop brushes today, now it just depends on what my favourite Maia picture of the month will be!
