Every baby develops at their own rate.
Maia hasn’t smiled at me (or anything) yet and it’s driving me crazy waiting on it to happen. I just want to feel rewarded for all this. I want to know she recognizes me socially. I want to see her dimple.
But she does sometimes respond vocally when we talk to her, which always thrills me!
PS: I so love her hair.

funny, i was just about to post a video of our little guy having a “conversation” with his grandma. it’s too funny when they talk, isn’t it? I think we got our first smiles around 5 week but since he was a week late it was probably really more like 6 weeks…so just around the corner for you!!
I know that waiting. Since my youngest was delayed (in everything) I held my breath for moments like that.
Now, Ms. Maia isn’t late…but I can’t wait to see it!! Do you have your camera handy at all times so you can capture it??
I love her hair too. But I bet it isn’t as cute as her smile-that-is-waiting-to-happen!!
