Chris was in an office dealing with some passport paperwork while I sat outside holding his coffee that couldn’t be brought in.  A mother and her daughters walked out of the office, likely two and four years old or so, and the older girl smiled at me.  I smiled back.

They took the escalator down, and the two year old spent the entire time squealing and laughing, nearly bouncing with excitement.  Then the took the escalator up…. just to ride it back down again, and the girl was even happier this time.

Thank you to that mother for brightening her little girls’ day, and by happenstance, mine as well!
