Some entreprenuerial spirit out there needs to invent Wine For Moms. This would be a soda can-sized bottle, with a twist top THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND FUCK YOU CORKS, except somehow it would also include a fun bendy spirally straw for even more convenience.

Actually, I’m not a cork hater in general. But you know, sometimes, you’ve had a day where you see a cork in your bottle of wine and for some reason it’s like a punch to the gut, like oh God why can’t my life just have a twisty cap for once?!
Know what I’m sayin’?
PS: If you’re in Ontario, check out WineAlign.com. You can browse wines by price point and type, as well as read reviews from “professionals” and others! I totally forgot about this site tonight, but next time… I am all over it.
I saw wine in a juice box at my liquor store the other day. And NO straw – twist cap!!!
HELLO?!?! When I had my 3rd baby my husband bought me the tiny wine bottles with twist caps. They are great! The come in all different kinds and brands.
My favorites are Sutter Home & Barefoot. LOVE Barefoot!!!
That’s why I like wine in a box. Put it in the fridge, it’s got a tap…may not be classy but when I want a glass of wine, it’s there ASAP.
Opps. Here’s a link to one…..

Baringer makes White Zin in those tiny little bottles. I see them all the time! Mommyhood has kept you too busy to notice little bottles-o-wine!
Yeah, see, I run into the liquor store w/baby on one arm & grab the first bottle of white that looks good
You know, it’s crazy, but I like corks. I worked as a bartender and waitress for years and I opened thousands of bottles of wine. I kind of see it as part of the experience. I actually did a presentation on the proper technique for opening and sampling a bottle of wine in a speech class in college. (I got an A.) Having said that, the wee bottles with the twist off caps are awfully handy.
Omigosh! I love this — and I AGREE!
@Cara: I do love the “ceremony” of opening and pouring wine…. most of the time :]
@desiree: Time to start a wine revolution
Thanks for dropping by!
