Girl Talk Thursday is Mommy Melee’s weekly event, and I really love the thought, so here it comes: my thoughts on the topic of “Lingerie. Helpful? Awesome? Waste of money?”

Now, I like lingerie. Always have, always will. Maybe not the bondage-esque stuff with straps here, buckles there etc (if only because I don’t know how to wear it all!), but give me a lacy nightie and I’m going to be feeling a hell of a lot more womanly.
But… my husband could care less. His opinion is that what you’re wearing is pretty much irrelevant, since it’s going to come off anyhow. This may be why I wear PJ pants and an ill-fitted tank top all day long (or it could just be because I’m lazy).
Still, when I have cash and I’m cruising around the mall (ie, in my dreams), the fancy panty stores are the first place I head. And clearance racks in the lingerie department at Sears or The Bay better watch out, because Mama’s coming hunting!

Lingerie is not my friend… Hubs doesn’t care what I’m wearing thank goodness, it takes nothing to turn him on…. not bad after 12 years…
I think lingerie is more for the woman wearing it. Hey, if it makes you feel like a sex goddess, you will pass that along to your very appreciative mate
I like the “dress”. Pretty.

That does sound an awful lot like Chris.
Clearance lingerie is the only lingerie I buy. Which doesn’t say much for me…as I rarely buy it. That pic you posted up there is pretty though. I’d wear that!
So funny … I was just dreaming of some new lingerie today, myself. I also love the clearance racks.
Lingerie is the difference between me saying, “hey honey, how’s about some sex?” or having him actually make the first move. Always worth the money. Luckily, my husband loves the comfy silky nighties and not just the crazy strappy getups that require complete removal before sexytimes can happen.
@cristin: Not bad at all :]
@Gala: The only nightie I have right now is a maternity one that looks like a hospital gown. Haha. Oh geez :[
@Jinxy: Yeah, pink & black is hot!
@Carson: HAH! Doesn’t it just!
@Annette: It’s okay, I own one frilly lingerie nightie… and I bought it at Wal-Mart five years and two dress sizes ago
@Damselfly: I soooo want to go browse clearance racks now. Sigh!
@Heather: We still need to figure out how to work in sexytimes with babytimes… AND NOT MIX THEM UP!
My husband could care less about lingerie and I’m not all that crazy about it either. It’s always awkward maneuvering out of for sexytimes and somehow only ever seems to fit right the first time I wear it, even if I haven’t gained/lost weight. I like pretty undies and bras as much as the next gal, but the lingerie? Not so much.
I’m not a big lingerie fan but that nightie is pretty cute! I could probably get into buying some of those
Lingerie is something special for me, separates the normal, weekly “too tired for anything much” to “see me, take your time and suspend the reality of the 4 kids we’ve had”.
After going up a couple of sizes over the last couple of years I’m also the proud owner of a couple of DDs, I NEED lingerie and so does he from time to time!!
@Cara: That’s true, actually, about how frilly things don’t fit right after the first time you wear them. Hmph.
@Casey: Yeah, it is cute eh? :] I like that kind of look.
@Claire: I agree that it can be attention-grabbing. I’m pretty sure that if I put some on, I’d DEFINITELY get more attention than his dang video games!
