My first Mother’s Day

It’s my first Mother’s Day, and all I can think about is MY mother.
I could get really poetic and emotional, but I’ll just keep it simple:
Now that I have a baby, I know how much you love me, mom. And I’m sorry for all the times I hurt you. My heart breaks when I think that I ever made you cry in sadness and worry. I’m absolutely thrilled at our relationship now, and you are the best support that I could ever ask for. I’m so proud that you are my baby’s grandma, and I’m so honoured to have your love.
I love you, Mommy!
I have no profound words of wisdom. All I know is that I tried very hard to be a good mom. I didn’t always make the best decisions, but I tried. I also tried to learn from the things that didn’t work, and not repeat them. We all make mistakes either as children to our parents, or as parents to our kids. So, it is a learning experience for both. All I know is that I love you, your sister, your brother and my granddaughter so much that I can’t even put it into words. Happy Mothers Day.
