Welcome to My Baby’s Mind Mondays! If you’d like to participate, the url for the button is “http://averygoodyear.net/images/babysmindmondays.png” and I ask that you link it to “http://averygoodyear.net/?cat=192“. Leave a comment letting me know you’ve posted, and I’ll add a list of participants to the end of each weekly post. You can post about your 2 day old, your 2 year old, your 22 year old, your dog, the stray cat in your neighbourhood… whatever, if you call someone your baby, I want to know what you see when you peek into that mind!
Here’s the picture that inspired me this week:

Dear Mom,
This has been a great week. I’m surprised you managed to take a picture of me where I wasn’t blowing raspberries and I don’t have drool all around my lips. I guess I need to try harder!
As you can see, I’ve learned how to roll over onto my belly. This is especially fun to do when you have me on the changing table. I like to roll to my right as if I’m trying to fall off the table and watch you scramble, then when you straighten me out, I roll over to my left side, kick the baby powder bottle off the table, and flip to my stomach while you pick it up. You laugh and laugh, so I figure this is actually pretty cool of me.
I have to ask, though — what’s up with you putting milk on my bum? I mean, seriously? You say there’s some sort of rash or something there, but… I thought milk was for drinking. You are so confusing sometimes.
This rolling around thing is great, though. For awhile there I couldn’t get my arm out from under my body, but now I know how to push myself up on my knees for a second so I can tug it out. Hey, I wonder what happens if I keep my knees under me for longer…
Hmm.
Love,
Maia.

That is a wonderful picture of her! Hope we don’t see the same pose 18 years from now in Playboy!
btw–how is the milk working out on the rash?
Hey, if she’s in Playboy, more power to her!
Milk is helping it look less inflamed, but the bumps and the crusty remain :\
Great post – my little girlie just can’t get that one arm out to complete her roll – I have no idea how her bottom half is on her belly, but her top half doesn’t make it lol I suspect it won’t be long. My son was close to 4 mths too – very lazy children
she is a cutie! Look at all the hair!
Here’s mine.

I love that picture of Maia, its beautiful, but then again they all are.
I’m glad the milk is helping her butt even if slowly. I’ve heard breastmilk is really good for all kinds of things, just haven’t tried it myself.
Gosh, she is SOOO CUTE!
Oh my goodness, she looks like a supermodel in this photo! For babies, every week is a big week. They learn and grow so fast!
@Rebecca: It’s so great watching her achieve new things… even if it is terrifying that she’s growing!
@Jinxy: Thanks for participating <3
@Loukia: Thank you!
@Holly: It’s true that every week is a big one. I can’t wait to read more about your little one and his/her big brother!
